Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming…

Have you visited the pools at CRI this semester? If you haven’t, you should, and here’s why.

If you haven’t taken advantage of the aquatic facility in the RAC yet, and it’s because you’re not comfortable in the water, lets change that! Come to a free swim lesson preview!

There’s a preview on October 17 from 7-8 pm.  The best part is that the preview is free! If you decide to sign up, you’ll receive six swimming lessons for only $10 – that’s a steal!

Not only is it important to know how to swim for a safety reason, swimming is also an awesome form of exercise that has many benefits to your health and body.

Here are some benefits of swimming that I found on the LiveStrong website:

–       weight loss

–       low impact

–       toning

–       circulation

–       aerobic exercise

–       muscle strength

You can read into depth about these points by clicking on these two links to the articles:

If you’d like to add a relaxing pool experience to your schedule, there will be a Dive-In Movie at 8 pm on Saturday, October 6. Come on out to relax and float around while watching Battleship (this movie title is a precursor to an upcoming event!) These events are a lot of fun and get you involved on campus in an easy way.

Ready to pick up the intensity? Tell your friends about BATTLESHIP happening on October 30 at 7 pm. If you’ve never heard of BATTLESHIP, check it out:

See ya around the pool decks!
